First Edition. DJ, endpapers, frontispiece and other illustrations by Edward Howard Suydam. DJ price-clipped; no initial sales price data. DJ chipped; spine sun-faded; otherwise, pristine and unmarked pages. Front hinge weak, but still holding. Suydam died as this volume went to print; thus, his last work. Protected in an archival wrapper. This classic work has been reprinted in several formats, but nothing compares with owning the book in its original first edition state. More images and/or description can be sent on request. Condition: Near Fine in Very Good DJ.
