Black cloth with impressed sp. lettering, quite clean but spine ends, joints, outer corners and parts of bottom edges rubbed, white lib. number bottom spine. Series t.p. + vi + 890, 21 pp. plates ex-pagination in Part I, in blocks of various sizes, numerous text figs and tables throughout; first two front gutters and end gutter closed with black cloth tape but text-block remains somewhat shaky, Biedford College plate to fr. pastedown, cancelled with 'withdrawn' stamp, other thin line of lib. inscrips across top, faint round lib. stamp to Series t.p., small tear to one leaf repaired with tear-repair tape nut tiny hole remaining, no text either side so really quite trivial,otherwise internally clean and unmarked, top edge a touch dusty. A landmark work in the history of Psychology in many respects, while helping establish the discipline's reputation as a proper science in the U.S., it later became notorious for the race-differences in iintelligence data it purported to find.
