A FINE WORK, NOW BOUND HANDSOMELY AND EXTRA-ILLUSTRATED WITH ENGRAVINGS AND ORIGINAL ARTWORK. "The invasion of Canada in 1775 was nothing less than momentous. The colonists who had looked upon themselves as dutiful subjects of the king, protesting constitutionally against the tyranny of his ministers, found themselves all at once attacking a royal province. Circumstances seemed to require this move, and with American directness they followed the logic of events, feeling keenly that the fate of America was involved in the enterprise, which marked a definite departure from a stage of protest toward that of independence. It is believed that no previous account of the Canada campaigns has rested upon so complete a familiarity with the original documents and with the ground as the present record." A well respected work by Professor Smith of Dartmouth College. Seller Inventory # 29555
