Preceded by an oblong Armed Services edition in 1945, and a hardcover in 1934. The third and final title in the Bounty Trilogy is set from 1789 to 1808, and depicts fifteen pirate Bounty mutineers stranded on Pitcairn's island for 18 years, with only one survivor--who became the island's ruler. Decently preserved mass-market paperback collectible. Mild upper corner crease, a vertical 3.5 inch long minor lamination wrinkle to the front cover, a 1-inch mild vertical lamination wrinkle to the rear cover, some lamination lift to the edges, else near fine, square, bright, very tight and probably unread in glossy stiff-card wraps with uncredited art depicting a happy couple's faces surrounded by lush vegetation and a seagull and black titles to the front cover and with black titles to the spine, all page edges red; printed code 457 still intact to the front cover and to the spine. *(No fading nor creases to the spine.) 321 pages; essay on the authors and the trilogy; plus authors notes; plus double-page spread map; plus list of island couples' names; plus Polynesian name pronunciation list; plus 1 pages of ads. to the rear.
