Published as part of Dean's 'Rose and Lily' series.This volume collects together entertaining verse for children by Charles Harrison.Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, colour title page, nine colour plates, and monochrome illustrations. Collated, complete.Two pages of adverts to the rear, and adverts to the rear paste down.Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the University of Oxford Libraries. In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally, a little worn, head of the spine is lifting. Minor bumping to the extremities. Boards and spine are a little discoloured with some handling mark. Textblock has almost detached from the binding. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Bound in original pictorial paper covered boards and paper spine.Not paginated.[26pp] Printed on one side only on blue paper in dark blue and red ink. Each page is illustrated throughout with text underneath. Recently been restored. The original pictorial paper cover has been re-laid onto new boards with a new spine and toned in with the original pictorial cover. The original was very fragile. Although on Worldcat Charles Ross is listed as the illustrator/ author: it does have the flavour of his work, on the back cover of this volume, Dean & Son only list Irvin Wood. Very rare.
