Penguin Books D-113. First printing of the true first edition published in 1969. A paperback original. Cover design by Alan Spain. ***Very good in colour-illustrated card covers. The covers have some light wear commensurate with age and handling, but are very clean. The edges of the covers are slightly rubbed and creased, mainly at the edges of the spine and corner tips. Please note that there is some light creasing to the top corners of the covers and the entire page block. The edges of the spine are slightly rubbed, but there are no reading creases. No tears. Internally also very good with no inscriptions or annotations. No creases or tears. Pages clean - paper stock just lightly tanned as usual. Spine tight. ***188 pages. 180mm x 110mm. ***'Penguin Modern Poets is a series designed to introduce contemporary poetry to the general reader by publishing representative work by each of three modern poets in a single volume. In each case the selection has been made to illustrated the poet's characteristics in style and form.' For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging materials; any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only; for the UK, our standard rate is for first class, and the priority rate includes tracked (signed for) delivery; for International sales, our standard rate is for Airmail delivery, and the priority rate is for tracked (International signed for) delivery. We would prefer that you choose the priority rate (tracked option) for higher value books of say �50 or more.
