First printing of the true first edition - published as a paperback original (PBO). A collection of thirteen short stories by various authors. ***Very good in glossy card covers. The pale pink covers have some marks and creasing commensurate with age and handling (please see scans), but there is no significant creasing and no bumps - just a couple of light creases to the bottom corner of the front cover. Corners otherwise sharp. Very slight fading to the spine. No reading lean - binding square. Internally the book is also very good, with no inscriptions, and no creases or tears. Pages clean. Paper stock slightly tanned as usual. ***200mm x 130mm. 168 printed pages. ***Short Stories by twelve women authors: Rebecca Brown (two stories), Angela Carter, Laurie Colwin, Fiona Cooper, Sara Maitland, Bobbie Ann Mason, Marge Piercy, Josephine Saxton, Aileen La Tourette, Lorna Tracy, Michelene Wandor, and Fay Weldon. ***'The most interesting young writer I have read in twenty years.' For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging materials; any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only; for the UK, our standard rate is for first class, and the priority rate includes tracked (signed for) delivery; for International sales, our standard rate is for Airmail delivery, and the priority rate is for tracked (International signed for) delivery. We would prefer that you choose the priority rate (tracked option) for higher value books of say �50 or more.
