1st edition, 1988. Foreword by Patrick Leigh Fermor. Expertly edited selection of the explorer Dame Freya Stark's letters. 404 pages printed and bound on dark green boards with gold, gilt lettering to front cover and spine. V. occasional, light foxing to page ends. Former owner's name in pen to f.e.p. with additional salutation in pen to Dame Freya across front end papers. Otherwise, in VGC throughout - clean, tidy and tightly bound. With non-clipped, colour dust-jacket (photos of Dame Freya on rear of jacket) in Good+ condition, excepting light rubs and bumps. 8vo.
