Octavo. xvi, 559pp. Inscribed by the author; With Best Wishes/H.W. Hilton, illustrated with photographic images. A story from a diary of memory by a doughboy infantryman who saw fighting on the western front in Europe during world war I and was wounded in action. Hilton was a combat soldier-Doughboy-infantryman, United States Army, who, along with his brother, Alfred, and the other men of the division in which they served, saw from line action on the battlefields in France. This book is a tribute to all the brave men who fought and braved death in World War I; specifically the men of the Pennsylvania Keystone Division. A bright, near fine copy bound in orange pictorial cloth depicting a soldier in the field of fire in black, spine plain, in a very good pictorial dust jacket. A very nice copy.
