About the author
Peter Friedrich Sander was born on German soil to a German mother and father. After his adoption from a German orphanage by American parents, he was renamed Peter Fredrick Dodds and naturalized as a U.S. citizen. He is Quest" the first book written on intercountry adoption by a "foreign-born" adoptee.

Peter earned B.A. and M.P.A. degrees and graduated from the International Olympic Academy located in Greece. He served as a member of the Washington State Legislative staff, Director of an international program for the United States Olympic Committee and, as an elite "Airborne-Ranger" when a U.S. Army officer.

As an author, Peter has been interviewed on television, radio and the Internet. His television appearances include "Bay Area Psychology" and radio interviews include "The World", a radio news program co-produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation and Public Radio International.

Peter speaks nationally to issues regarding intercountry adoption and was the keynote speaker at New Zealand's 1998 National Adoption Conference.
