This VG quality possible first edition book (the front flap lists books in the "Exploration" series by James Foster through the 1933 title, omitting the 1934 title) was published in 1934 by A. L. Burt and has 251 numbered pages of text. This book--one-piece blue boards with black lettering--is square, very clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings; the head and heel of the spine are bumped with no fraying; the bottom edges have a slight amount of wear. The spine is somewhat faded. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. The hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. The text paper is mildly toned and is still flexible and not at all brittle. The VG quality jacket (see photos) is complete and intact with no tape. It is lightly soiled, especially the top 1/2", with tiny chips at the front corners and at the heel of the spine. The jacket is not faded. Both the list in the front of the book and the list on the back of the jacket list all four titles in this series.
