Slight foxing to end pages and edge. Price clipped. There are few people in Britain to whom Robert Dougall's face and voice are not as well known as those of a trusted family friend. For the past sixteen years he has been appearing regularly on BBC television news and before that was a top newsreader on radio. Now, we meet the man behind the face. This candid self-portrait is Robert Dougall's first book and we publish it exactly as he wrote it. He says it is a 'fly-on-the-wall' view of British broadcasting through forty of its fifty memorable years. Illustrated. 320 pp. Protective plastic covering over D/J.
