Two Volumes, First Edition, xix + 321; (x) + 331pp, portrait frontis in both volumes, illustrated with 20 engravings in addition to two frontis, hardcovers, 8vo, bound in green-blue embossed cloth (the embossed crests on board were possibly originally in gilt), gilt lettered, top edges gilt, Provenance: with the ex libris angling bookplate of Ballynahinch in each volume [engraving signed by PCB [P. C. Baker], Del & Sc. which features a rod, reel, gaff hook and landing net with four fish, two rifles; river with mountains in background; two dead birds and one live bird], hinges strong and firm, binding a little worn at extremities(top and bottom of spines and corners) but good condition, Duckworth And Company, London, 1903. Additional Provenance: this bookplate features in 'A Catalogue of An Exhibition of Angling Book Plates' Held by the Grolier Club, New York, 1918. It is ambiguous as to whether the bookplate is from Ireland or England. In the Fearing Angling collection. Seller Inventory # AMZ/1656
