A rare good copy of Engels's contribution to the Marxist theory. Engels applies the Marxist framework of historical materialism to understand the evolution of the family, the emergence of private property, and the development of the state. He argues that these social structures are not natural or eternal but rather products of specific historical and economic conditions.
