First Abacus edition. Light cover, edge wear. Pages very good. Bind fine, square. Classic cover art. Rare sharp first Abacus printing. A powerful work in the tradition of R. D. Laing. The hallucinations to which Barbara O'Brien awoke one morning were the work of Operators, whose goal it was to get their hooks into her mind, a subconscious pushed beyond the limits of sanity by the cut-throat world of Organisation Man. An outstanding contribution to the understanding and treatment of mental ill ease and O'Brien elicits the dramatic emergence of a powerful writer, describing the full story of her nightmare experience and return from the depths. 157 pages. Insured post. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
