Hardback. In this book the author describes the search for the missing mass, and the implications of recent discoveries for the ultimate fate of the Universe. As the story of the missing mass and the ultimate fate of the Universe unfolds in this book, we encounter exotic forms of matter never detected in laboratories on Earth, puzzle over the absence of neutrinos coming from the Sun, watch time run backwards, delve into the implications of thermodynamics for the Universe at large, and meet many of the astronomers actively engaged in research today. 245 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. Academic, Scholarly books and Modern First Editions etc.).
