Item description from seller

Small 4to. Pp. 115. Frontis. reproduction of a portrait of Omai by Sir Joshua Reynolds. Bound in half linen over batik boards; paper label on spine. Clean and fresh throughout. One of 500 copies. Omai embodied that cliched, tiresome concept of "the noble savage," which was very much in vogue during Omai's tenure in London. He was the darling of fashionable society. In 1938 Jane Grabhorn founded the Colt Press; the press ceased activity once WWII was underway and co-founder William Roth joined the Office of War Information; this was likely Colt's last publication before operations concluded.
