First Jonathan Cape illustrated edition. Octavo, pp 117. Bound in white paper covered boards over black cloth covered spine, and in the original dust jacket, unclipped (10s 6d net). Top edge stained black. Illustrated by C.F. Tunnicliffe and Raymond Sheppard. These illustrations were originally commissioned and used by The Reprint Society for their illustrated edition, and then adopted by Cape also. Fine condition book in Very Good Plus jacket.
