Illustrated pink Kent endpapers. Housed in its original red border DJ; scarce in comparison to the green border DJs of the same title. 169 titles listed on inverse of DJ; FWIW, Chaucer's Canterbury Tales is present, while Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises is not. Book shows minor scant foxing along fore-edge. World famous, R.H. Macy & Co, 34th & Broadway, New York City is stamped on title page; for where this title was originally retailed, in 1929. Vintage purple name stamp of previous owner stamped within. Uncommon red-border DJ has price of 95 cents on the front flap, with 169 titles noted on back, with titles listed on verso. Fragile DJ shows multiple open chips; preserved in archival DJ protector. A rare copy in the more rare red-border DJ. First Modern Library Edition stated. NF/G+. Seller Inventory # 003807
