A highly interesting account of contemporary naval practices, and good deal of material relating to the management and conduct of the Royal Navy in the 19th century. A lovely copy bound in contemporary polished, brown calf, with raised spines and gold lettering over marbled boards. Binding shows some moderate rubbing and scuffing. Former owner's naval bookplate on front pastedown. Size: 8vo.
