Good condition overall, in the original dust jacket. The book itself remains clean, sound, and complete, with a firm binding and bright, well-preserved interiors showing only light, even age toning typical of the period. The dust jacket, while present and complete, shows heavy age-related wear, including pronounced toning, surface abrasion, creasing, edge wear, tape, and some tears, particularly along edges and corners. A distinguished collection of essays illustrated by the author, combining Beerbohm’s characteristically refined prose with his celebrated satirical drawings. This copy includes the original dust jacket with publisher’s advertisements to the rear panel. An appealing example of a classic Beerbohm title, offered complete and unaltered, suitable for collectors seeking an honest, intact copy with original jacket present. From the personal library of Tony Walton (1934–2022), Academy Award– and multiple Tony Award–winning stage and costume designer, celebrated for his imaginative work in stage and film.…
