About this Item
Contemporary full calf with spine label. 8vo. xxii, 274pp. First American edition. In this work the English physician shows the relation between albuminuria and dropsy and describes his theory that the kidneys were diseased in these cases. The section on angina is important. Blackall has been considered as the originator of the aortic theory. A good copy in what may be the original binding. The upper spine is chipped and the covers have some scuffing and edgewear. The front cover hinge is cracked and starting to detach. The text is very good with some light wear. The endsheets are browned and the title has some browning in the margins. Seller Inventory # 11298
