This is a hand made high school year book assembled by Virginia May Clemings who attended Platte City High School in Platte City, Missouri. She graduated in 1937, one of some 22 in her class. Book size about 6 by 8 inches with unnumbered pages. Bound in black cloth over boards with a full front cover color illustrated paste-on. Illustrated end papers (Different for front and rear). One of those early Yearbooks where the publisher provided an outline of what to enter in the book and then the student filled-in the book in whatever manner they chose. This is an above average example of the type with newspaper clippings; hand written information; invitations; one photo; school related publications; mementos; Commencement program; etc. I could say this is rare, but it is actually unique, one of a kind, as are all these old hand-made yearbooks. A reference book for Women's Studies showing how the young girl of the 1930's was educated. This is one volume in a collection of some 65 of these old Yearbooks ranging from the late 1800's to the 1940's mostly from the Midwest which will be in my book seller catalog titled 'Women'. Light wear. VERY GOOD Language: eng Language: eng Language: eng.…
