HOR 021742 CARP Appears to FIRST U.S. EDITION , with "London, Country Life Limited , New York: Charles Scribner's Sons" on title page and "First Published 1936" on copyright page. Marbled green pictorial hard cover with cloth spine. Sturdy enough though the spine is a tad stiff and there is a cracked hinge in its middle. The spine is faded and there is roughing of the head and foot of the spine. Inside is clean except for occasional foxing just along the hinge. Beautifully illustrated children's horse book.

Store description

We had an open shop in the Northwest section of Philadelphia in the Chestnut Hill, Mt Airy neighborhood for 18 1/2 years. It was in a beautiful 1882 train station designed by the noted architect, Frank Furness. In August of 2014, we closed that shop but continue to sell on-line out of our home in Williamsburg, PA.
