True first British printing, undated (however 1925). With original scarce unclipped (and unpriced) jacket. Large format. A medley of prose and verse for Boys and Girls. Various contributors including : Walter de La Mare, G. K.Chesterton, A. A.Milne, Laurence Houseman, Compton Mackenzie, Hilaire Belloc, Hugh Chesterman, Katherine Tynan, Maxwell Armfield, Eleanor Farjeon, Mabel Marlowe, Valery Carrick, Madeleine Nightingale, Roy Meldrum. Eight colour plates are present and in very good condition. Jacket has faults - namely edge/shelf wear, patchy loss, few tears, few marks, creasing/rubbing to edges, pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine, a little patchy browning, little fading to spine, minor foxing, pushing/bumping to corners, is a little fragile and is in only fair condition. Boards are near fine (having been well protected by the jacket) with a hint of pushing to corners, the odd small mark and minor pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Pages little tanned. Small mark to lower corner of a few pages. Odd small mark/spot of foxing to page edges and bottoms. Very occasional small mark/spot of foxing to pages. No other faults. A nice copy. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted. Seller Inventory # 007126
