First Edition in original gray illustrated wrappers. Full of humorous golf illustrations with captions. 25 pages, plus period golf related advertisements in rear. Contains a list of Scotland's golf courses adjadent to Caledonian Railway stations, also an advertiser. Comical tale of two men, neither of whom has golfed before, who go to Scotland to play the game, using a copy of the book Badminton Library; Golf, edited by Horace Hutchinson, as their only guide. Light soiling and foxing to covers and first two pages else very clean internally, top right corner bumped, all original. Small illegible owner's stamp to top of front inside cover and small blind stamp of "Smith & Son (booksellers) London" on top of rear inside cover. A delightful read even today.
