Attractively bound in half buckram over marbled boards. Around 57 pages bound in from two parts of the Revue Catholique de Normandie. Paginated from 642-669 and from 49-76 (titled Suite) There are two separate signatures/ inscriptions, one is bound in, the other tipped in. They are probably written by Vignaud, though this is unusual for his books. From the collection of Henry Vignaud with his bookplate affixed. A well known US Consul in Paris for 34 years who was a scholar and collector of historic explorations and discoveries. Vignaud built a fine 50,000 library of Americana and gained an international reputation as an historian for his work on Columbus. An additional bookplate was removed at some point.
