1834-1840 various Boston publishers, a rare Sammelband of 20 scarce Unitarian tracts in a well-worn 4 7/8 x 7 3/8 inches tall hardcover binding of the period, marbled paper-covered boards over crumbling leather spine, gilt-lettered burgundy leather label to spine, tracts paginated separately, 408 pages total. Heavy soiling, rubbing and edgewear to covers, with cracking and chipping to the leather and bumping to the tips. Nineteenth century prior owner names to front pastedown and one blank flyleaf midway through the volume. First leaf (title page) lacking from first bound tract; last two leaves (three printed pages) lacking from the last bound tract. All other tracts are complete. Ink stain to first page of first bound tract. Light to moderate mostly marginal foxing or staining and light creasing to a number of pages throughout, with moderate to heavy age-toning to a couple of title pages. Exterior leather hinges cracked and tender, but the binding holds firmly. ~SP38~ [1.5P] A Sammelband of twenty uncommon Unitarian tracts issued from 1834 through 1840 in Boston.
