Spine slightly creased, some edge wear, some cover creasing and soiling. A good reading copy. ; Foreword by John Cunningham. ; 6¾" - 7¾" Tall; 319 pages; " Night Fighter tells of a fascinating and chilling war, fought by lone pilots in radar-equipped planes who stalked their German prey in the high darkness. Totally different from fighter combat in the day, this nighttime war demanded absolute reliance on the radar operator, superb nerves, and the ultimate in flying skill. This is the war that C. F. Rawnsley fought and flew, and his story will stand with such great fighter pilot narratives as Johnny Johnson's Wing Leader and Adolf Galland's The First and the Last. ".
