About this Item

Description:

187 pages. Illustrated with drawings and photographs. With a foreword by Rex Beach. Morrison was known in America as "the Wizard of Golf Instructors" and particularly regarding the golf swing. As Darwin wrote in the intro to the British edition: "He has made a life-long study of the golfing swing, practically, anatomically, photographically and in every other conceivable way.". The most widely printed instructional until Ben Hogan's. Interesting to note that through twenty-eight (?) printings Morrison made no alterations of any kind to this book. Very uncommon true first edition, of which there were only 3,000 copies printed. Original blue cloth, slightly worn at extremities, spine darkened. Typical pastedown offset else a clean, tight copy. Covers protected in mylar. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Seller Inventory # 204500
