Bound without folding leaf of rules scheme of laws for the management of a School of Arms and without folding plate. A scarce work, written by an authority on fencing, Sir William Hope. Hope is notable for his criticism of the French Small-Sword system he personally trained in. He felt that the true Art of Defence lay in the English back-sword method.
