Item description from seller

[ii], 23, [1]pp., 8vo. Title with a few minor edge-tears and neatly extended at gutter, but a sound and well-margined copy in modern wrappers. First edition of this collection, pretty clearly a piracy, printing four of Swift s recently-published poems without acknowledging his authorship. A second part, continuing the sequence of pagination but without any poems by Swift, seems to have been separately issued as only about half the recorded copies contain it. The first poem is one of several teasing Anne, Lady Acheson, who became a close friend to Swift on his visits to the Achesons estate in County Armagh. Teerink 39, confirming Swift s authorship; not in Case, English Poetical Miscellanies.
