Edited by Theodor H. Gaster. Small 4to. Terra cotta cloth with gilt spine lettering, pictorial dust jacket. xxx, 738pp. Very good/very good. Minor spotting to top page edges, else tight and internally fine; jacket has a few small edge chips and lightly sunned spine, else bright and nice. Handsome first of this hefty, revised single-volume abridgment of the influential comparison of mythology and religion by the Scottish anthropologist, originally published between 1890 and 1915. A bit uncommon.
