Paperback. In the 1960s and 1970s the academic landscape was in transition. Even in Austria three Universities were founded in Linz, Salzburg and Klagenfurt leading to an enlargement of the academic sector. This special issue of zeitgeschichte focuses on the newly established universities and explores the innovations made. Additionally, the issue not only examines the changes in educational policy, in academic discourses, and in students but also in the academic structure. This issue also gives an overview of the universities founded in Germany as well as their reception in Austria. With the example of the academic debate in Vorarlberg it portrays a development that did not lead to an establishment of a university but notably to the establishment of individual academic institutions. Ausbau und Reform des Hochschulwesens in den 1960er- und 1970er-Jahren Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
