Authors presentation copy. 1st ed, 1840, VG, 2 pls. In contemporary blue/green embossed cloth, corners and edges a little bumped and worn. Re-spined, title in ink to paper labels. Internally, yellow endpapers, bookplate of Harlech College to fpd, chart of the Port of Cardiff as frontispiece (some offsetting), dedication from author to title page, light browning at edges, (viii), [1], 2-100 pp, 2 pls (maps), [3], 4-12, includes the appendix on the Rules and Regulations of the Bute Docks at Cardiff, many pages uncut, printed by William Bird, Duke St, Cardiff, hinges strengthened, small mark near joint to both covers, small crayon mark to fep. Rare in any condition! (Anderson 349). Title continues: With occasional strictures on the ninth report of the Taff Vale Railway Directors; and some general remarks on the commerce of Glamorganshire.
