Review
"A book for all scientific humanists to read and ponder... such a dramatic interpretation of self... is... suggestive of the kind of inter-pretation we need to make intelligible our moral situation."--Patrick Romanell in "The Humanist"
"I feel that Part 1 is on a very high level of critical intellectual history, and that the exposition of Gestalt ideas is excellent, and in some respects original. All this amply justifies the book."--Charles Hartshorne in "Philosophy and Phenomenological Research "(1954)
"Frondizi's book, as a critical and constructive analy-sis of the nature of the self from the standpoint of empirical philosophy, is a competent and timely contribution to this fundamental problem."--Philip H. Phenix in "Teachers College Record "(1954)
