Black morocco title label to spine with double gilt rules bracketing five compartments. [1] 2 -247 pp. No half-title page present. "Brinton Library" rubber stamp to front pastedown with an 1839 numeral penciled below the stamp and a matching number, slim paper label attached to spine. Snugly bound copy; pages supple and clean with expected light toning and ocaasional light foxing. First and last few leaves with some light damp lines. Leather rubbed and nicked at spine ends with some mild chipping to the surface of the leather at the crown. Williams was an English feminist writer and novelist, considered a radical and supported of the ideals of the French Revolution.
