Three-quarter leather and blue cloth printed in gilt. Oblong folio. 126pp. Illustrated. A fascinating glimpse of Napa County at the beginning of the 20th century. The book is entirely composed of photographs showing local businesses, vineyards, residences, railroad, factories, schools, parades, fire department, scenic views, resorts, sports teams, churches, etc. Many of the photographs are full-page and some are sepia-toned. A highlight of the work is a 22 page section of panoramic views of Napa street scenes showing the storefronts of local businesses. In terms of condition this copy has some heavy chipping to the leather spine with a 2 1/2 inch piece missing from the top and some damage to the bottom. The cloth is lightly spotted and the leather corners are worn. Internally the pages are in very nice condition with some minor soiling and wear. There is a page missing from the end of the book but it appears to be a blank since the printer's name is listed on the lower corner of the last photograph. The last few pages of the book are browned at the edges with some corner chipping. A scarce book. Postage extra. Seller Inventory # 7940
