This VG quality book was published in 1934 by Saalfield and is 8-1/8" tall with 250 numbered pages of text; it is likely a first edition. This book--one-piece medium green cloth binding with black lettering--is square, very clean, free of edge dings with both lower corners lightly bumped; the head and heel of the spine are lightly bumped without damage; the bottom edges have very little wear. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. The hinges are strong and not damaged though the paper covering the front hinge is torn. The text paper is very toned but is still flexible and not brittle. There are no illustrations besides the frontis. The VG- quality jacket (see photos) has small chips at the front corners with wear along the font fold; small chips with folds at the head of the spine; tiny chips at the heel of the spine; a 1-1/2" tear with folds at the top of the rear panel; and a spot of fading on the spine at the author's name. There is no list in the book and only the first three titles from this series are listed on the back of the jacket. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book.
