"MURDER DRAWS A LINE - A Christopher Storm Mystery" by Willetta Ann Barber and R.F. Schabelitz with its original dust jacket. 1940 1st edition (stated); published for "The Crime Club" by Doubleday, Doran and Company; New York. The book features illustrations, floor plans, and diagrams of the crime scenes drawn by Schabelitz. The book is a classic mystery novel that serves at the debut book in the Christopher "Kit" Storm series. The story follows Christopher "Kit" Storm, a moderately successful commercial artist working in a Manhattan studio. On the side, Kit assists the police by sketching crime scenes, faces, and physical evidence instead of relying solely on standard police photography. However, his professional relationship with the authorities takes a sharp turn when his across-the-hall neighbor is found brutally stabbed to death inside Kit's own studio. Because of the location of the body, the police quickly pivot from viewing Kit as a helpful consultant to treating him as the prime murder suspect. To clear his own name, Kit must use his sharp eye and artistic skills to untangle the mystery and catch the real killer. Condition: Clean covers and spine. Sharp cover corners.
