Add to basketMr. Bridge is the sequel to Mrs. Bridge. Connell presents the story from the perspective of Mrs. Bridge s husband, providing a complementary view of the events that take place in Mrs. Bridge. Similarly told in short, episodic chapters, Connell "shows us Mr. Bridge at home, at the office, with his wife, with his son, with his employees, colleagues, and friends, and alone with himself, trying to understand until the human being behind the façade stands movingly, disturbingly revealed." (back flap) 8vo, bound in original black cloth with gilt-lettered title and author on spine. In original dust jacket preserved in a clear sleeve. Slight lean and bumping to head and tail of spine. Fading to top of spine and board edges. Small closed tear at tail of spine. Some minor soiling and foxing to all sides of textblock. Binding is solid and pages are clean and crisp. Dust jacket has some minor bumping at corners and along edges. Overall, a Very Good+ copy in a Near Fine dust jacket. .
