About this Item
Near Fine. See scans and description. Box-shipped; no bags here. Los Angeles: Movieline, 1995. The April, 1995 issue of Movieline magazine, with a fetchingly vampy-looking Sandra Bullock on the cover and, of course, as a feature article subject. The fifth annual "Women in Hollywood" issue, dubbed "Tough Cookies", with a ".far from politically correct" subhead. Quarto, photo-illustrated staple-bound wraps, 96 pp. Near Fine, with no salient flaws; spine ends micro-touched, to a barely-visible degree, and top edge front cover shows very faint toning (see scans). Otherwise, quite perfect, gleaming, pristine, with even the laid-in subscription offers still inside and pristine. Virtually As New. Besides notable pieces on Ms. Bullock and Halle Berry, and at least photos and quotes from every female star current at the time (and some non-current; and some males), the issue takes engaging looks at industry professionals Beverly Joubert, Jennifer Lee, Parker Posey, Karen Duffy, Terry McMillan, Rachel Talalay, and Robin Swicord. And.so on. An early issue of a famously cult-ish industry mag, a highly collectible form and condition of a now-defunct publication which, like so many in the genre in the economically turbulent 2000's, ceased publication (2009) and went online-only. I.E. - where magazines go to die, as it is turning out. See all scans. Rarely found in such high-grade condition. Shipped in a sturdy, new, protective box - no baggin' it here. LPR13.
