Re-spined, remains of old laid down, gilt tooling & titles. Internally, frontis, [5], (vi-vii), [1], [1], 2-262 pp, 2 pls (coloured), with the tipped in errata, a.e.g., 1866 book prize label to ffep. Tugwell also published A Manual of Sea Anemones Commonly Found on the English Coast (1856), which was explicitly addressed to 'amateur ramblers about our English coasts who take a pleasure in noticing every form of beauty which they may encounter in their wanderings' and cited the blessings of sea anemones as their beauty, the ease with which they can be collected, and that 'they may be kept in the drawing room or the study without trouble or annoyance, and may be carried away to our country-houses as a permanent memorial of our visit to the seaside'. Two coloured chromolithograph plates by Rev. H.B. Scougall. Green pebbled cloth, spine titled in gilt, boards decoratively blind-stamped with a gilt fleur-de-lys on upper board. Cloth badly stained and with several large splits. Hinges tender, quite browned. Good only. The fictionalised story of two Devonshire angler-photographers on a fishing trip through Wales. Based at Tal-y-llyn and Pen-y-gwryd, there are chapters on Cader Idris and Snowdonia. Not an angling book as such but much reference is made to the fishing, particularly at Tal-y-llyn. .
