First edition. 8vo. pp. iv (ads.), 195-441, v-viii (ads.); frontis. of the 1924 Everest expedition team, 5 photo. plates relating to the Everest articles, illusts. to other articles; good in the original printed wrappers, which are rather browned, and slightly chipped to spine. This commemorative volume contains a message from the king expressing his distress at the news of the deaths of Mallory and Irvine on the 1924 expedition. The volume also prints letters by E. F. Norton from the expedition, and a narrative of the expedition by C. G. Bruce, E. F. Norton, Geoffrey Bruce, and 'The Last Climb' by Noel Odell.
