Item description from seller

Octavo. 227p. Wright originally wrote a long-running column on scriptwriting in the New York Dramatic Mirror who showed why successful writers such as George Ade found it difficult to adapt to screenplays in his articles on photoplays. This book became one of the key works on how to begin writing film scripts. His book Photoplay Writing in 1922 amplified on the art of the screen adaptation of major books into film. He became Universal's key person in writing scripts for the movie serials. Previous owner's name on front endpaper. Bound in red cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt but fading. A very good copy.
