This book is a simple survey of contemporary country houses in the 1930s, detailing with a different house per chapter. Including photographs and architectural plans of the houses.Many of the houses within this volume are in the Art Deco style with smoothly finished surfaces and geometrical motifs that led to a more streamlined and less ornamented style of architecture. This volume is edited by Roger Smithells. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some fading to the spine and a few marks to the boards.
