Dark green cloth spine with lighter green, patterned paper over boards. Book has only very light aging. Otis 1897), name & # on title, right upper blank margin of intro page lacking, foxed, corners heavily rubbed. FIRST EDITION. Howes also ascribes this to the publisher, Joseph Mitchell: John Stewart, 1786-1823, the son of free Negro parents, began ministering to the Wyandott Inidians in Sandusky, Ohio.
