Item description from seller

(London: Longmans, Green & Co 1957). First UK Edition. Publisher's green boards with pink lettering to the spine. Boards really bright and clean. A hint of dustiness to the top-edge, tiny bumps to the corners overall a VG++ copy (with no inscriptions). The VG+ pink dustwrapper has a hint of fraying/loss at the spine tips and the corners of the front panel and a few, indiscriminate, very minor marks to the back panel. Importantly the pink spine is UN-FADED. There is no major loss to the dustwrapper which is pretty much complete. A nicer copy than usually seen. There is a small errata slip at the beginning of the foreword; "We are indebted to Mora Dickson for the line illustrations in this book". The ground-breaking cookery book by Nigerian homemaker and domestic goddess whose book was a common feature in African homes and schools. The first comprehensive Nigerian Cookery Book; it explored staple foods, diets and contained recipes from all over the country including adapted recipes of foreign meals. The RARE first edition in collectable condition. Photographs/scans available upon request.…
