Binding has small tear at crown and base of spine, few light soil marks on covers, else a bright near fine copy. Henley was born in Jackson, Mississippi in 1952. Her play, 'Crimes of the Heart,' won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and The Drama Critics Circle Award for 1981. This play was printed as a manuscript as part of the series, "Plays in Process 1980-81". The play is set in the small southern town of Brookhaven, Mississippi; the first production was at Theatre Three, in Dallas, Texas, in February, 1981. Basis for the 1989 film, *Miss Firecracker,* starring Holly Hunter and Mary Steenburgen, and directed by Thomas Schlamme.
