First edition. Large 8vo. Blue cloth-backed boards with dust jacket. Title imprinted on front cover. Book very good to near fine, front hinge showing a little, but not at all loose. Dust jacket very good, price intact, there are a few minor tears along the top edge and a small (ca. 1/8") chip at the top of the spine panel. Pencil comment on face of dust jacket "Good for rhyming." Back flap of jacket says "Research for Miranda was done in Webster's Dictionary, 1847 edition." Extremely scarce and the only children's book by Highsmith. Seller Inventory # 4431
